David L. Acuna is originally from Ashland, Ohio. He graduated from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Acuna served a one-year year internship and completed his surgical residency at Grandview Hospital and Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio. Dr. Acuna completed his Trauma and Surgical Critical Care Fellowship at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He is Board Certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care.
Dr. Acuna is a clinical assistant Professor of Surgery at the University Of Kansas School of Medicine. He serves at Wesley Medical Center as Medical Director of Trauma Services.
